Can you tell us where the tech puts the lift pads?

That lip was good if you use the jack supplied with the car, otherwise the jack will chew it all up.

i have a 99, and the oil plug and filter r right in front of the car very easy to get to. i jacked it up prob about 7inches and had plently of room to remove the plug and oil filter. Took 15 mintues. i dont know where the plug and oil filter is on the 2000. I just used a jack no jack stands (not that smart) but im lazy.

for a hydraulic jack I use the big knuckle just in past the wheel well where the lower control arm connects - you will see what I mean when you look.

Never get under a car supported only by a jack. Not worth the risk to save 10 dollars on the oil change.

Lifting points found.
On the rocker panels on both sides of the car are little arrows which indicate lifting points. Just checked the owner manual and it shows lifting points for workshop hoist.
