Default Worthless vacuum hoses

I'm tired of these things falling apart in the tightest place possible. I just replaced the one for the combi valve behind the head today. It had torn apart right at the end of the nipple which is something I'm seeing a lot. I had already replaced the 2 on the intake manifold for the same reason. I have 66k on my car so at least they lasted that long.

So if you haven't replaced yours yet you might want to check them to make sure they're not starting to tear. I didn't have a CEL for the ones on the intake manifold, I just heard the hissing. But the combi valve was giving me a P0411 (secondary air injection - incorrect flow)...or at least I hope that was the cause of it. If you don't know which ones I'm talking about these are the smallest braided hoses around the engine.

Has anyone had better luck with the silicon ones (non braided) lasting longer?
