If there's a leak you should see washer fluid on the ground. Mine had a leak right where it was mentioned above, behind my bumper at a plastic clip. The clip just wasn't on godd so that fixed the problem.

The previous owner of my car said the warning sign for the windshield washer fluid would pop up all the time, he took it to the dealer (it was still under warrenty then) and now the warning sign never comes on, even when there's no fluid in the tank.
