Default wow - I get to ask a question for once

Does anyone have a trailer hitch on their A4?

I am curious and thinking about adding one. I am going to be hauling some rather large and interior-unfriendly items. It doesn't need to be completely stealth, but I don't want it sticking out like some monstrosity...

Yes, I have one!! I kinda does stick out a bit but I don't mind. It works great. I just make sure that the trailer is well balanced and doesn't put a lot of tongue weight on it. I'll see if I can take a picture. I'll have to use my cell phone. You see, I'm an old fart here and my camera is still an SLR that uses film. "What's that!!!"

I'll tell you that in Europe probably 1/3 of the cars have hitches!

Obviously depends on how much your towing. A couple of chairs or a sofa on a light aluminum trailer is no different than when I go Beer drinkin with my fat-a** buddies. 4 of us in the car approaches 1000 Lbs.

I wouldn't tow with a Tip though, just a manual.

You must be an extremely good friend to want to put a hitch on your audi to help friends.. I personaly would rent a truck if it made sense as opposed to instaling a hitch on my bitch.

thats funny cause when it comes to trucks (ford being) a a/t has a tow rating more then twice that of the manual. but I guess audi must be different.

I'm sure our cars could take it no problem... If it's one thing A4s don't lack, it's torque. I've seen tow hitches on Accords even, so I'm certain that our cars would do just fine.
