No WAY anyone would walk with my deposit and I would threaten to get Audi NA involved if they did not resolve the issue immediately.
You're being taken for a ride my friend.
They expect you to roll over and are trying to get you to go away.

I'm the type of person that likes to confront a problem immediately, even if it calls for an uncomfortable situation.
In my opinion it's better to get the matter dealt with and if people get their feelings bent out of shape - tough cookie.

March in there, stand your ground, and don't take no for an answer.
If your part of the agreement is that you forfeit your deposit on a cancellation - THEIR part of the agreement is that they supply you a vehicle according to the terms of the deposit. Hold their feet to the fire and have your argument ready to go before you walk in the door.

LOL.. try this.. walk into the dealership with a bat..dont hold it in a hostile manner.. but start demanding that your problems be addressed immediately.. if they ask what the bat is for, tell them your going to play baseball, and then give them a little wink in a very sarcastic way... they will probably ask for you to leave it in your car.. tell them.. you will as soon as you tell them which car is yours.. keep the bat with you while your sitting at the managers desk.. im sure he will think your a whacko and start sweating bullets.. he will probably do just about anything to get you out of there.. worth a shot right?? LOL

Kinda like on Oceans 11 when they went to buy the Mini-Vans, and they did the hand shake.. really awkward, and made the guy feel uncomfortable..try for that..

(Maybe it was Oceans 12.. who knows)

Lol, it was Oceans 11. And please don't walk in with a baseball bat. I'm not sure what qualifies a "hostile manner" of holding a baseball bat, but if I'm not able to tell the difference, I'll betcha the folks at the Audi dealership (and their security staff) won't know the difference either.

Now, if you walk in, state your demands and are rudely rebuffed, then by all means grab your Desert Eagle .50 and pop off a few caps in the parking lot. That'll be sure to get you noticed :-)

But seriously dude, I'd be straight-up pissed. For the amount of money you're paying, they should at least return your phone calls if they can't deliver in the time they promised. If somebody doesn't have answers, talk to his boss. If they say it'll take time, tell them you'll be waiting in their office. If they can't provide you with your car in the time they promised, ask how much of your deposit you'll be refunded as compensation for your inconvenience. Draw a line in the sand...this unchecked agression will not stand, man!

Personally I would go through the paper work and if needed seek free legal advise as far as what i could do about the situation. In the mean time tell them that i WILL NOT walk away from my deposit and want an answer as to where exactly my is right now! When the car is located i would want to speak to the person(s) with the car for a time frame when the car will arrive.

Sounds to me like they are just trying to wear you down to the point you just dont care anymore so they can take advantage of you.

1. They get you to walk away from the deposit.

2. They say they cant get you the car you wanted originally but have something comparable but higher priced. (either different options or market change)

Stand your ground fight fire with fire that's YOUR money!!!! Their job is to bull$#!t you for there benifit so just dont listen.

Oh and if you do close the deal with them i would still report them after all is said and done.

Have them give you a loaner until your car comes in. Then go on a cross Canada trip to Vancouver. Might as well see how quattro does on a few logging roads in BC.

A week or two late is not unusual for a car. Have them pull your file, find out where the car is located.
Check your contract. Ask them for a definite date by which your car will be delivered and state that the contract will be void if not delivered by that date. Get it in writing from the sales manager. Get a loaner in the mean time.

If that fails threaten calls to the BBB. You might look into the Ontario ombudsmen's office.

You have any friends who are lawyers who can advise you?

If it was me. I'd go in the Audi dealership find the dealer. Tell/ask him nicely than if he gives you some bullshit answer start cussing screaming about the ordeal and make a scene when alot of people are in the dealership trying to purchase the car. The last thing I would think a dealership would want is a customer yelling about bad customer service and etc...

Than the sales manager would come out, and both the dealer and manager would **** bricks. This will get you somewhere. And don't use the phone go to the dealership.

This is your job as a customer to complain and b*tch about the purchase/ customer service and etc. and have them not make the same mistakes over again. If you don't do this I would think they will do this to others customers as well.

i sujest that u take a lawer with u to the dealership, and make sure that they notice that u r REALLY pissed off. Tell them right to their face that this is ur lawer and u want to discus ur deal. Make them pull ur file and give u exact dates. If u dont have a lawer then take a friend or any1 u can find thats going to be a lawer or atleast some1 who knows about law more than the dealer does. dont yell at them, just talk in a kinda rude manner and preferebly so that the other customers would hear ur issue. good luck
