Bought gas at the regular spot, 93 as usual, drove 65 all stop and go miles and 1/3 of the gas is gone WTF? I know 2.8 is sh!tty on gas mileage but never before has it been this bad. My driving habits have been the same so I don't know whats the problem. Gonna clean the MAF tomorrow to see if that makes a difference.

 

Yep, even though I generally drive the same way all the time, I have had two or three tanks that just got crappier mileage than I usually get. You will run into that from time to time. There are other posts about it and what possibly causes it.


BTW, 'WTF???' as the thread heading doesn't tell anyone what the post is about. Make it more descriptive.

 

do it agaqin and see if its low. if it is 1/3 low, then fill it up adn see how much it takes. if it takes 1/3 of a tank to fill then ur screwed. if it doesnt, then its prob just ur guage. mine is a little wierd, like its up to 1/8 off between starting the engine adn once it gets running. or u just didnt fill it up all the way last time. some gas stations auto-off is screwed up

 

My first quarter off gas drops off in a couple blocks then it holds for a long time.. I hate our gas gauges but I've learned whats up... You sure it wasnt just the gas gauge playing with your mind?
