So I talked to the shop again today and they say the gears on my old pump are bigger so it wont work at all. For some reason I find it hard to believe that it is totally undoable. Is this BS or what? Im just not understanding how a damn waterpump can "F" the whole swap. I am so irritated right now. I have not had a car for a month and now it looks like Im gonna have to start over with buying a new block and then figuring out what to do with the one I wasted $3000 on. [:@] ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH I feel so helpless. I went onto vortex and got almost no help. This is a last ditch effort for me guys, I wanna make this block work NOW, what should I do?

Cant you just buy the appropriate water pump for that engine, rather than trying to fit the one from your old engine?

I mean, it may cost you a few bucks, but why cant you just purchase the correct waterpump for the engine code that it has?

Am I missing something here?

Im not "tech cert" but yes it is doable.

Go back on vortex and send boostin20v, mirror, adam@unitronic, and whiteG60 a message, on of them can tell you exactly what is needed to be dont to make it work, and if its worth it or not

I guess the part I don't understand is why you haven't called the company that sold you the block? My lord, you just spent $3000 with them and they don't offer you any support? If they don't help you then send the motor back and get your money back... and have the shop doing the work order the motor for you.

Other wise, and I'm not telling you this from experience, purchase the right parts to make the motor work. If both blocks came in this same body style car then the parts are going to be available- either new or used. It's called retro-fit and we do it a lot in the Jeep community. That being said, nothing is impossible, as far as this goes.
