haha you said it yourself "life is too short to drive bad cars"
LOL, you got me there.....

But honestly, you want to set yourself up so that you can drive great cars for most of your life. Sometimes a little sacrifice goes a long way if your doing it to get yourself ahead. Then the payoff will be much bigger, and you'll appreciate what you have worked for.
I just wouldn't want to see you struggle to pay for a car that you cant afford, and that is likely to need a fair amount of repairs to it, instead of trying to get yourself ahead.

Im 38, and this is my first audi. I also have a 300zx, and a ford expy, and a nice family. But I worked very hard to get where I am at, and never had anything but beater cars up until about 10 years ago. It was definitely worth the wait.

Regardless of your choice, good luck to you. Audis are great cars. If you do decide to buy one, take extreme effort and patience to find a good one with good records, so at least in the long run it wont drive you into the ground financially.

I still long for a ttz32. Its in the long term plans. For now, I am satisfied that I at least have the coolest body style nissan ever on my NA 2+2. Someday I'm either dropping a tt engine in there along with a manual tranny, or I'll be selling it when the right tt comes along.
Like the b5, the 90-96 z car is one of the most beautiful body styles ever.
Its timeless for sure.

as for the car little man, i am 20 years old have a pretty decent job and work fulltime, i still can hardly afford the maintenance my car deserves. . .

Iam not much older than you, ive only got you by a few years. So i know that none of us are going to talk you out of buying an A4, because i was the same way.I got my first A4 when i was 17 too, once i test drove one i knew i had to have one. So im not going to tell you to go waste money on some piece of **** honda that you won't enjoy driving, becasue above all thats just embarrasing. However i will tell you to stay the hell away from that big turbo piece of **** audi. Itshideous and its going to die very soon without a lot of money put into iti gurantee you.

Keep looking buddy, there are a lot of them out there! That would be a horrible investment

dam guys i think everyone is bein a little harsh, lol...

what if he goes and drives it and it drives amazing, no lifter noise, no burning oil, no problems at all... he would be better off than most of the 1.8 guys on here..

and ya dude look into getting a 99.5 2.8, there much faster than the 1.8 from factory, you need to put about $1000 into the 1.8 to be as fast as a stock 2.8, and the 2.8 is way way way more reliable, and plus it looks a lot better if you ask me, most of them have xenons and they all have chrome trim around the windows...

2.8 my friend... its the solution to all your problems, lol.
i knew it would only be a matter of time before this ******* clown showed up to talk about his 2.8 that is god's gift to the roads all around the world

maybe he's just "faded" and audiforum'ing it up again you guys, so i guess we should all just excuse his ignorance

Im pretty sure the only reason he comes on this site is to get a rise out of the 1.8t members by making outrageous 2.8 VS 1.8t claims. Its getting sort of obvious.
