I am glad that you brought that up... when I first got my ECU back from tuning I forgot to do a throttle body alignment and I started the car like 3 times and each time it started really hard, sputtered and then died. Car is running fine now, but do you think that those three times could have done that? If thats all the problem is I will be really happy! lol

You can not tell anything from looking at the pic. Is the oil really thin?
Send in a sample to Blackstone, & have them tell you what's in there. I would do another oil change just be safe.

CTS is where I would start if it smells of fuel. Also the FPR hose & FPR. Pull the plugs & see how they look, this will let you know if you are running really rich. If you don't take care of it soon, your looking at a new cat also.

The CTS tells the ECU what the temp of the engine is. This changes what maps the car uses for injector duty cycle & timing. If the sensor is bad, the car will think it's always cold, & use the "warm up" map. This is dumping in a lot of fuel & cuts timing. Warm up usually only runs for 2-5min after you start the car it's like 20-40% more fuel then warm depending on what the CTS tells the ECU.

The FPR is the same way, if there is a loss of vacuum the FPR runs full rich all the time.

yea, deffinatly pull the plugs and see if they are wet, if they are, you are running rich

and if you are running rich, it could be your programming, or fpr, or a host of other things

Is that only if there is a complete loss of vacuum or just a little bit? I am running at about 12hg when idle and last time I changed my plugs they were wet. I am going to go get a bunch of vacuum hose and replace it all when I tear my car apart next weekend.

And would that also make my MPG go way down???? (I am not trying to jake this thread. Just wondering because I know Alias is having vacuum problems to right?)

No Josh, my vac at idle is always like 20-22Hg, I am good there. I think I have a BOOST leak. So it couldn't be my FPR then right?

Anyway I don't have time to check my plugs right now, but I will do it tomorrow or tonight and I will get back. I should check and see if I have the green CTS, if I dont I will replace that too. I am not getting any codes for the CTS though.

I have always had the feeling I was running rich becuase of my terrible MPG. So this def could make sense.
