Is that only if there is a complete loss of vacuum or just a little bit? I am running at about 12hg when idle and last time I changed my plugs they were wet. I am going to go get a bunch of vacuum hose and replace it all when I tear my car apart next weekend.

And would that also make my MPG go way down???? (I am not trying to jake this thread. Just wondering because I know Alias is having vacuum problems to right?)

Josh
Any change in vacuum will change the FPR. I think 12hg is high for idle it should be 16-20hg. The plugs SHOULD NEVER be wet. Yes, you are running super rich. Yes you will get horrible MPG. The vacuum will not be the same @ every place in the engine.

Only if you have a vacuum leak in the hose. The tubing is cheap, get 3m of it.

Ok well I was able to take a couple of my spark plugs out today. Neither of them were dripping wet, in fact, they were both like bone dry.... Does that mean I am not running rich?

I will be replacing the CTS in a little while here, I want to let me engine cool for a little bit.

If they were wet, then that's super rich & almost flooded. What color where they? If you want to find out how rich you are running, just Vag-log your O2, it will tell you what your running for a AFR.

Alias:
when you last did your oil, did you put in the same oil filter the car came with (the big one) or did you put in one form like K&N that is smaller. if you did, that would defanitly cause you to have a high oil level

when i did the oil first time on my car, i did that and it read high somethin like urs. go back to the bigger filter, these engines need all that extra oil for cooling becuase of the turbo and such
