i think thats b/c of the filter i used to make it. Yes if i had 1 pieces i would buy new hosuings.

No the only way you are going to get plug and play is to buy the two piece ones off ebay. Wiring up ecodes is easier than cutting the fender.

so i should buy which 1 piece ecodes? The xenon ones or the halogens then install a hid conervsion on those? Sry but i am getting kind of confused on this.

If you buy the xenon housings the install will be more plug and play, but the xenon housings cost a lot more.

If you want to install xenon into halogen housings, then this is what you are looking at for an install:

Yes you need the entire bulb/ballast/wiring kit that oemhid.com sells. The whole conversion is going to cost a pretty penny.

Well I retrofitted my B5 with xenon for:

halogen Ecodes - $329
OEM philips RS6 Xenon - $200
-------------------------------------------
$529 total

But I surfed ebay for xenon ballasts/bulbs for weeks before I found a good deal.
