Well, but those bulbs you're talking about aren't xenon bulbs...they're "xenon look". They're still halogen. Definitely not the HID experience

Well, they are xenon filled bulbs, and since the glass is blue tinted you can get the HID experience if you aim them high enough to blind people or just drive with your high-beams on.
I was just making the point that you can get xenon filled bulbs that aren't HID's to tdn.

I had the same problem with my '06 A4 S-Line. I was also getting a computer error message "Left Dipped Headlight". Turned out that the control unit for the headlight was faulty. Warranty covered replacement and a new bulb.
Definitely get it checked and fixed while you are still under warranty. The service guys showed my what the bill would have been if warranty had not covered the fix.......$900.

same problem on my a4 worked mint for a week then one side started flickering and going out. try to start the light it flickers and then goes out...... had alot of night driving to do so I had to remove it and hook up a standard bulb
