I just bought a set of 10,000K Xenon lights (with ballasts and all) from Xenonautohaus on ebay and when i installed them on my 99' a4 2.8 quattro, they flicker, no matter what I do Anyone have similar experience/suggestions?

 

I've read of this before, and have seen some results as being that the ballasts are bad (sad as it sounds, several people have had bad ballasts brand-new in the box). Still, double-check the solidity of your wiring connections and the connectors on the HID wires (they're crimped connectors and the quality of the assembly may well suck - I replaced all the crimp connectors on mine with my own crimp connections just to be safe, since the ones that came on it were kind of cheesy), and make sure all the car's wiring connectors in the headlight system are clean (hit them with electrical contact cleaner to be sure). If the ballasts are bad, hopefully Xenonautohaus has better customer service than VVME. If not, you're going to be buying new components while the company gives you the finger when you try to collect on their "warranty", as VVME does.
