Its all about appearence, i want 4300 but i may get 6k so i have a nice tint to them. We'll see.

 

I would go with 8000k...I recently got them done and I think they look great..

im thinking about picking up a pair of HIDs from vvme.com i heard about that site through this thread..are their prodocts any good?i dont want them burning out or anything

 

my HIDs are on their way to me right now, I bought them from vvme.com. I'll let you know how I like them, I got 6000K.

 

4300k definately has a blue tint to them... thats what i got and its tinted blue

 

I have 4200k and they are more white'ish/yellow. My brother has 8000k's (blue)in his A6 and it's sort of hard to see.

 

i ordered last night from vvme.com..heard a lotta good reviews about them from here so i got a pair of 6000k h7's for my 01' ..ill let you guys know how they are

 

Hey, has anyone had those VVME HID conversion kit for more than a year or two? What is the overall quality? I'm trying to decide if I should get the VVME's or spend more money for something that will last longer.

Also, for people that have used silverstars: How long have the bulbs lasted and do you get any complaints from other people about how bright they are? thanks.

 

ive had silverstars before, they were OK...nothing special..non-car people wont notice the difference between regular halogens and silverstar halogens..i had a problem with my lights and the bulbs would go out every couple months..they were supposed to last a lot longer though
