I am in the market for an Audi A4 1.8t B5. i was wondering if you guys have any liking to a certain year? i like the three spoke wheel (is that on just sport packages or is it on everything after 99'?)

I live in the central valley of California so if you guys know of anyone selling something good...let me know! im looking to spend around, $7-10 thousand.

 

99.5 seems to be the most desirable year in the b5's. It is after a facelift, and before drive by wire.

 

teh 2001 one when they boosted the engine to 170 hp. If u look at the 1.8T on the back there will be red on teh T part.

what was the facelift? mainly interior?
I can't seem to find any of these audi's around my area that are for sale..do you know any good websites that sell? such as an ebay or something?

99.5 are called best of b5s, i have one and love it.

 

Go with 99.5. Face lift is 2nd edition taillights, clear side markers, badging was moved from top of trunk to mid trunk( debadge it better look), and it is drive by cable not drive by wire. The 99.5 IMO is the best year for the B5 hands down no questions asked.

 

could anyone show me some pics of before and after of these "facelifts"? what are clear side markers? what did they look like before they went to clear?

What is the difference/advantage to drive by cable vs. wire?
