Sometimes we can find a 99.5 and 01 with the same mileage.
In this case choose the 99.5 and save 3-4 grand.

 

99.5 also has the favored AEB engine which supposedly has more low end (low RPMs preboost) power.

 

JDCrowe, your dead on right. For the $$$ a 99.5 may be more in his price range... but for the peace of mind of knowing that you have everything that the other A4's need, is great.

Also... get the SPORT PACKAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CANNOT EMPHASIZE IT ENOUGH!!!!!! I've seen my identical car minus the sport package (17" RS4's, Sport Suspension, 3 spoke wheel) and it doesn't look right once you compare it w/ the Sport package. (not to mention it handles like a dream!)

 

Mine does not have the sport package, and it desperately needs lowering, with some nice stiffer suspension. It looks like its on stilts! Save yourself the hassle and buy one all done for you!
