Thats not a K04 that will fit on a 1.8T.. I'm also looking for a K04 for my 1.8T but can't find one anywhere but gpopshop.
The K04 in the link is a K04-018 used in small engine applications like snowmobiles... etc..
I tried emailing the seller and they never replied so I did my research and compared pics of all the K04-*** and its definetly not a 015 like we need.
Look at the exhaust side on the turbo and youll see what i mean.

K04's are so 2 years ago. Most people have finally realized by now that they are hardly better than a k03S, and the k04's running aggressive files like J31 and PC16 have short lifespans. Its way more cost effective to go a little bigger and get something with a ball bearing, even if its an eliminator series. Once more people catch on to this, the snowmobile industry is the only thing that will keep K04's in demand [8D]
not tru. crapton of people on the zine want one. even after being told its a waste. They dont want lots of power in a DD, just slightly more than what stock offers. while the k04 may only produce 5-10 more hp (basic file), it holds boost longer to redline, and has more tq down low. as soon as i can find my BT, i got a line of people wanting to buy my k04.
Let me rephrase that.... A $700 turbothat is only slightly more powerful than the stock turbo is a waste of money compared to a $900 turbo that will deliver a lot more power and reliability. I would buy a used $175 k03S and run a k04 file if I wanted soemthing onlyslightly better than stock. I wont ever understand the people with 01 B5's/B6's/B7's who jump from the stockk03S to a k04. The only difference is in the tune, the turbo's are virtually the same.

the compressor wheels are differnt. the inducer on the ko3s is larger. With a stronger wg, the ko3 s will hold boost longer, same with adding a mbc. Think that tiny spike diff isn't worth the $700+.
