The sale was actually handled by the guys fathers car dealership, so it was all above board. We also did not pay until we'd seen and driven the car. Wouldnt have even thought about it if we couldnt do that.

Paying cash got as a decent deal. The car has quite a few miles on it (92k when we got it) which also kept the price down quite a bit.

Check the forum for things you should do, like timing belt, preventive maintenance etc.

If the belt hasn't been changed you are on borrowed time.

Yes, looks pretty nice, add a rear valence, and wheels though...

if your getting your car detailed, ask if they are capable of getting the dent out, or if they deal with mobile dent repair guys, that can come in while your car is getting detailed, and get the dent out... its usually pretty cheap, around 60 bucks.

We had the car looked at by both Audi for the 90k service (ouch! their estimates don't mean jack do they?) and our local guy. Everything checked out OK. Will need some minor work done in the next 30k miles or so but I'm told its mainly just maintenance stuff. I'll have the local guy double check it again when we take it back to have the ABS sensor/sensors replaced.

ORIGINAL: gman

I think both of you are crazy.....but the car DOES look nice!

his was pretty scuffed up all over...and the title came like two weeks later from jersey. sketchy.
