hahahaha thats really funny... I did my own install on my audi i got a alpine with a hifonics powering it just under 1200.. no probs at all.. but then again I knew what I was doing...your car is probably in limp mode... that would be my guess. are you automatic?

you connected through a permanent live so the amp is live all the time ( battery killer ) remove that wire and connect to a switched live ( live when the ignition is on only ) your amp is taking all the power, you also might need to upgrade the alternator depending on what amp you have in there

remove the negative wire to the battery turn on all aux systems and leave for approx 20 mins and before connecting the battery ground switch every thing off ( obviously ) this should clear the ECU of codes, if it doesn't then it needs VAG to reset it

can someone give me a map to where my amp is in my trunk??? on the left right next to where my tool box goes right??? And to answer you question if you remove the ground from you battery (-) then you cannot turn on anything hence your power source is gone... You want you amp to be connected live all the time... But you want to be able to turn it off when you turn off you car/ headunit... This is why we have remote turn wire that goes between the pwr and grd on an amp..
