Default A5 with a child

I am really interested in buying the A5, but I have a 7 year old child. I want her to be comfortable in the back until she is able to sit in the front with me. We test drove an A5 and she seemed comfortable in the back, and really liked it better than the A4. But does anyone drive an A5 with a small child? How is it?

As you know, somewhat difficult to get them in and out with the 2-door and also not as much outside visibility for them given the coupe slope. Typically better served with the 4-door A4 in your situation.

I rode in the confined back seats of many 2 door vehicles when I was growing up(including a `66 Baracuda, VW Bugs & Datsun Z cars). Now, it seems that parents are doing their children a "disservice" if they don't own a 4 door vehicle....
But I do have a few Audi clients that haul their kids around in the back of A4 Cabs & TT Coupes...so I wouldn't bat an eye about kids in the backseat of an A5.

Thanks yall. The amount of space in the back of the A4 and the A5 seem to be about the same...the only difference is 2 door/4 door. I am going to check them both out again before I make my decision.

LOL Yeah, I hear ya. I s'pose we need to get them their own DVD displays as well?

I hauled my kids in the back of my 2-door Toyota Celica liftback back in the late 70's/early 80's, so it certainly can be done.

Default Kids in A5 (Cab)

Yes I have 2 boys (5 & 3) Graco Booster installed in the back. Easy to add/remove with the top down. Would be much tougher with the coupe but still would go for it. We use another car (SUV) most of the time for family outings but to just manage in between it works fine.
