Unhappy Airbag light and Electronic Parking Brake Warning Lights

Good Evening, I am a forum virgin please be gentle.....

I have a 2010 A5 Convertible that over night developed 3 faults:

1. airbag warning light
2. Electronic Parking Brake Light
3. Seatbelt presenter fails to retract after securing seatbelt into the stork.

a friend plugged in VAG diagnostic software to clear the codes however this did not extinguish the lights. I think the fault codes (I do not have on me at the moment) was leading me to the airbag control module however the seatbelt presenter has me wondering if it is a simpler fault in the area of the seat or seatbelt

Has anyone experienced this fault or could maybe point me in the right direction.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Russ.

Hey Russ, there are hard codes and soft codes. A VAG Diagnostic Tool will NOT clear HARD CODES...nope. Normally if the vehicle was in an accident the seat belts will have locked or triggered the hard code so that the Light remains on.
So, the good news is <IF> your seat belts are working properly, not locked, THEN you can just send your airbag module to a repair & return center. I would recommend you look into that...I've used one that was recommended to me...

Simple repair & return solution to reset HARD CODES that can't be reset by a Diagnostic Tool.
