Default Low Quality Bass in the 2018 A5 Sportback

I was testing out the Bang & Olufsen audio system in the 2018 A5 Sportback and I could barely notice the bass, even with "Bass" and "Subwoofer" turned all the way up in Sound Settings. It was particularly of lower and poorer quality than the bass in the 2018 A4.

I had a mechanic at the dealer check it out and he said it is installed and working fine. However, then two others agreed with me that the bass was inferior to the A4. I then compared it to another 2018 A5 Sportback, and both had weak bass. I observed that the location of the subwoofer in the A5 Sportback is backed up against the rear panel of the car and behind the spare; whereas the subwoofer in the A4 in comparison is located up on the top of the trunk.

My question is has anybody noticed or discussed the poor quality of the subwoofer in this model? And if so, has an easy solution or rearrangement been discovered to improve the stock sound other than a subwoofer upgrade?

Thanks for your time!!

Well, I was doing a test drive on this model with my friend from DSRLeasing and we didn't really focus on bass quality, but it sounded fine for me. I'll ask him if it's possible to test it out once again, cheers

Cool A5 inferior bass response

I just got my sportback and notice the same thing. Very inferior bass. When I went to tune it, it said it did not support "subwoofer". It is a Bang and Olufsen (sp?). Truth be told, the hi freqs don't sound that sharp either. So much for Bang and Olufsen.
