Weird sound on startup
96 A4 2.8 V6
Right after engine starts, I hear a sound coming from the rear of the car that sounds like a radio antenna going up (like a small eclectic motor sound) and it goes away after about two seconds. Fuel pump going bad?

Potentially yes. You shouldn't be able to hear the pump is this car, so if you do, it's working hard. The 2-second run time is right for the pump. Change your fuel filter - if it clogs up the pump will strain. Change it very soon.
