Default "Oil Level Check" function on MMI?

I have a 2005 A6 3.2. I noticed that in Car menu on the MMI, there is a selection called "Oil Level Check" or something like that. When selected, the MMI says that oil level will only be checked after driving for about 10 minutes. After making this selection, I have driven much longer than 10 minutes, but nothing else happens. Normally I think of oil level being checked after engine stop and a bit of drainback time, so how is this function supposed to work? Am I doing something wrong, or not doing something, or is this not really implemented?

This function was implemented by mistake and will not EVER work, it was only in the early 05's and was removed
