[HELP]: Head lamps working fine, until i turn my engine on. (1996 A6 C4)
Hi guys,
I have a problem id like to share.
I installed a new set of Xenon lamps to get some more light out of the old car.
They work brilliant. I can adjust high beam / lo beam, and everything is just dandy.
+ to the ballasts go to the old cable witch goes to the switch in the cabin
- grounding goes directly to the battery (to -, ofcourse)
The problem i have, is that when i start my engine - all of the sudden, all the lights stops working! and if i turn my car off, and start the lights again: they work brillinatly!
Where can the problem be? :-(

Did your new lamps ever work properly? If so then I would suspect the ignition switch. If not, are you saying that your lights are on and then when you start the car they go off or are you saying that if you start the car the lights will not turn on?
