is it rly 6 sec for 0 to 60 on this car. The 2003 s4 with same engine has 5.9sec accel? Does this make sense alot bigger car with basically the same accel. is this a typo or what?

I believe the stock 2.7T with the automatic is rated at 6.5 seconds from 0-62 (0-100kph). Common opinion on the forum is that it is quicker with the MT6 but you need to know how to shift. I'd say an A4 with the same engine and a manual should probably be close to 6 seconds (and 5.9 sec is). The A4 weighs about 400 lbs less.

I wonder if a chipped A6 2.7T MT6 can turn a 6 second 0-60? Anyone every take one to the drag strip? I know mine moves out pretty good, but when it hits 3500 rpm in each of the first three gears it takes off to redline very very quickly. Almost so quickly that I am afraid to power shift for fear of damaging the drive train. I guess I prefer to win the 70-130 mph with a downshift to 4th rather than break something.
