I have an 03 Audi A6 3.0L Quattro tiptronic. I bought the wrecked, had everything to fix it and then lost half the parts in a fire. The car ran fine other than a little bit of white smoke from the exhaust for a minute when you first start it.
The passenger floor got wet and fried the tcm. I cleaned out under the battery tray that clogged, dried it all up of course and replaced the tcm but now it when you try to drive its like someone keeps slamming the brakes when you go to take off. Reverse drives perfect accept it shifts hard into it. Of course at this point we are close to going over budget on it but we dont want to get rid of after all the work we've done to get it this far. Help please.

 

did you replace it with the right tcm?

additionally have you pulled codes from the engine ecu and the tcm?

 

Its a matching numbers tcm we got an audi autel scanner that we hooked up to it and it's not bringing up any codes.
