I just bought an 03 A6 Avant and am trying to put my kids' car seats in with the LATCH system. The left one is no problem, the seat folds down and I can run the tether between the seat and the retractable cargo net that runs to the roof. The problems on the right side. The net is mounted to the right side of the seat and I can't seem to slide the tether between it and the seat, so to attach it I have to run the tether over the top of the net rendering it useless.

I can't see the mounting bolts on the retractor because everything is riveted together. If I have to, I'll drill out the rivets to pull the mounting bolts and slide the strap in, then re-rivet the retractor back on, but I want that to be a last chance scenario.

Any ideas?
