Question 04 2.7T extended warranty

I have been following the discussions on this forum for some time and find this to be a gr8 place for advice.
I recently got a CPO 2.7T with 16K miles on it and was wondering if I need to purchase an extended warranty for it. Any advice is appreciated, also if you could let me know about some of the more reliable extended warranties and some of your experiences.

Cheers

Wow, only 16K?? How much would the extended warranty cover because it's got another 50K miles before you're going to do too much to it (timing belt mostly).

The extended warranty works out to 10/2012 or 75K miles for about $2K.

ooooo

That's a close one. If you can get the timing belt done within the warranty, it will TOTALLY be worth getting (plus all the other misc. stuff that could go wrong). I think the purpose of that warranty is to cut you off right before your belt goes bad though (around 80K usually). Do you know if anything has been done to it besides just drive off the lot?
