I got mine via my credit union. The warranty cost about $1800. My blown turbo cost about $4000 (I only paid $250). Member's choice was the company I used. Also note, if you are getting a turbo vehicle make sure your warranty covers turbos, many do not.

Whatever warranty you choose make sure they cover turbos because you would not want to fork out $4800 dollars or so.

I purchased a Member Care Platinum Plan, with a zero deductible and 84 month/100,000 mile term, through the AAA. I went through the AAA because I thought that it was a safe bet they would still be around at the 84 month mark.

My credit union has some sort of extended lan through another company. The comprehensive 2 yr plan is like 2300. Is that a pretty standard price?

I paid $2800 for the 84 month 100,000 miles. The policy is an exclusionary policy, so everything is covered except what is identified on a list, ie windshield wipers, tires, brake pads and the like. It also has a zero dollar deductible. I have an 05 4.2.

Looking around the net it seems like the quote I got was on the lower end then a lot of the other places... i figure my biggest expense will be the usual maintanance that is due on them at the intervals... I've already talked to our local dealership and they will take a look at the car before I buy it to see how the maint. has been... should be a couple hundred...but i think worth it.
