Howdy AFA6,

I believe that my 2004 A6 2.7t (95,000 mls) needs new struts/shocks 9suspension). She seems to be hitting every bump in the road, lurches forward when breaking and also has the so called "bounce".

My tires seemed to go really prematurely and the ride just seems to be way off performance wise.

How do I know its not just control arms, tie rod ends, etc and not the struts/shocks. BTW, these are the ones that were on it when I purchased the car last year at 59,000 miles.

The current struts are dark red in color which I've been told is the sport struts.

What are the replacement models I should look for.

what else should I look to replace at the same time

what total costs should I expect to pay (parts/labor or do it myself?)
