05 A6 infant car seat placement?
Recently purchased a used 05 A6, we did not get the owners manuals with the car, that said I was wondering where to put an infant car seat. I found the anchors on the right and left rear seats, and assumed this is the best place to put the car seat. Many people say the safest place for the infant seat is the center in the rear, can i safely put it there?

My eight month old goes in the middle, but I have to use the seat belt as the restraint. That is one of the three options in the manual, but of course, having the anchors available always makes me want to have him locked into those. I've also read that the middle is the best place for an infant, but I'm kind of tall, so no one, especially a rear facing car seat, can fit behind me anyway.

While the 05 came with standard rear curtain air bags, there was an option for rear hip/chest air bags. If the car has the additional optional hip/chest rear air bags you can not place the infant seat near them and you you must put the infant seat in the middle.

Hey friends.I have a Audi 05 A6.I keep my baby car seat at the middle of the rear seat. Although it has hooks at left and right side of the rear seat.Actually we have baby Pooco Pushchair which can be converted into the car seat.So we didn't had worry so much to fit it in the rear seat.
