Default 06 a6 avant gu19 esp fault and acceleration sensor location

Hi, i have a 06 a6 wagon that i recently got a esp error in the dash and the esp button doesnt do anything. i have a vag com cable and it show low abs voltage and gu19 code. I took it to the dealer today and they pulled the same code. They said it is a acceleration sensor 6qo 907 637 a, and i am trying to find out where it is located at. The diagram i have and that the dealer shows the part just floating in air rather than where it is located. I have seen locations showing under the steering column, in the center console under the ac controls and also the passenger kick panel. If anyone has any advice on the topic i am open to suggestions. This sensor is 500 bucks so i really would love to know or find out it is something else.

Thanks

Default Did you get this resolved?

I now have the same issue on my A4 avant b7. Dealer told me the esp sensor (6Q0 907 637 A) needs to be replaced. They want to charge me $1100 to do it. I have no idea where the part is located and if it really will fix the issue.

Thanks
Roger

This is not a simple thing to mess with, thus the big numbers.
There are codable and non-codable sensors. There are two non-codable sensors for rotation and transverse acceleration and they are both under the drivers floor mat.
There is one combination codable sensor and it is under the rear seat bench. You have one or the other.

OOps, this info is for my 04 A6, don't know if it applies to the later models, sorry. I suggest gettting a subscription to Alldata.com so you can look at your model. Without this kind of data, you will be always blind.
