Hey guys, my CPO 08 Audi A6 came with the Music interface in the glove box but did not come with a cord to plug my ipod or iphone into. So I bought a cord off ebay and the MMI screen says that device not found. Is there anything I have to do to get it to recognize my phone or ipod? Anything I need to do in the MMI system? Software update? Confused! Thanks for any help or suggestions you might be able to give me.

Maybe borrow a cord from another owner or the dealer to see if it is the ebay cord. I probably would have bought one from the dealer.

 

I got mine from eBay and I had no issue, it was basically plug n play, why would you pay 150 plus at the dealer for something that sells cheaper online

 

There are different AMI leads available, and you may have bought the wrong one for your car. I'm pretty sure the lead you need for your MMI 2G AMI has a black collar. The one for MMI 3G AMI is a blue collar, and MMI 3G+ AMI leads have a red collar.
