Mobil 1 Recommends 0w-40. I have been using it in my car, but the dealership recommends 5w-40...

Should I even switch to a heavier OIL i sit in Traffic allot and i commute quite a bit.
If i should switch what oil would be better for my engine (I hear my lifters Sometimes)

There is no difference between 0W40 and 5W40 @ operating temperature. The 0W is slightly thinner @ lower temps which may be advantageous for cold starts in sub-zero climates.
IMO, stick w/ the Mobil 0W40...thier 5W40 isn't VW/Audi approved(...at least in N. America it isn't).
