10 hrs to change the clutch ?
Dealer quoted me 10 hrs to change clutch. Few indis 10-15 hrs...
Is it that bad ?
I bought the Luk (OEM) clutch for 240 but it seems like the cheapest I could get for the installation is 800$ from a VW/Audi garage in my area (Dealership: 10hrs + parts = 1000-1200)
Was it better to take it all from the dealer or what [:@]

RE: 10 hrs to change the clutch ?
That's about right! I think it cost me around $1100 to do a clutch on a 99 Passat Wagon at a non-dealer. Parts were about $300 labor rate about $65
My 98 Audi Quatro turbo was a bit more expensive with $400 for the clutch kit and about the same time

I know a Rally crew that can do it in 18 minutes flat!
In a parking lot!
In the snow!
But, you'd have to cover their bar tab, so you would be better off going to the dealer.
