i got a 1998 a6 non quattro front wheel drive that has a rear wheel that is bent sideways from an accident, but its not the wheel itself but the tubular structure that thewheel connects to thats at the rear of the car ? im looking to buy one, but dont know what to ask for. also is there any way to check the engine codes yourself ? thanks

 

I believ that the whole assembly is called the rear axel beam.

As for reading codes. Sometimes Autozone can do it for you but you can't always be sure they get the right code. It is best to get your own VAGCom. Itpays for itself in a few milliseconds.
