ABS needs to be checked with a diagnostic tool like VAG, oil light could be oil pressure and the oil pumps do tend to have a problem on Audi the pickup pipe gets blocked and it should be a recall although it isn't at the moment ( but it should be )
This what i have found :

Subject: Audi A-6 Electrical Problem?
Question
I have a 1998 Audi A-6. Frequently the tachometer will stop functioning and, at the same time, the oil can, the ABS, and the brake lights will come on. When the tachometer resumes functioning the other lights go off. We have had the car checked and there does not seem to be any physical reason for the warning lights. It seems likely that this is a short of some kind.Taking this vehicle to my local Audi dealer is not an option, they could not diaginose a problem if it stood up and waved at them. Any ideas on where my problem may be, and how to repair it?

Answer
hello
sorry it took so long, I was asking around and nobody get this yet.I will make sure connectors are not loose at the cluster. I have seen some problems with clusters (lights on with no reason)but who knows. Make sure there is no faults in cluster, but for this you will need some scanner. If you get any faults let me know this will help a lot. OR
If you know somebody with same car 98-00 swap the clusters .
good luck pltech

Hi, I had the same problem with my A6 2,4 Multitronic Avant some year ago. What I had to do was changing the instrument panel (Tacho and speed). I had a guarantee, luckily. The cause whas that the broker had connected both handsfree and radio att the wires for the computer system. This connectons pulls to much amps from the system causing the computer to fail. Remember that the theft protection will engage if the computer fails. (While blinking and making noise) so dont stop the car. I suggest you check your connections if you have a bad one or something connected wrong. I think you have a older bus system than me but maybe it is the same fault.

Our Audi 2002A6 was giving similar fits on the diagnostics, found a firewall bolt piercing the wiring harness behind the left cyl.bank, several wire splices later and $750 for O2sensors we are back to proper ops. Don
