So i was considering buying a black badgeless grille for my 98 a6 2.8L from ecs tuning. does anyone have any experience on removing and installing on of these grilles? any input would be appreciated

 

It's a little tricky to pop out, you have to find all the tabs around the inside and slowly work your way around to each one and then with a good yank it comes out. Definitely doable using only your hands and I recommend doing so as to not scratch up the paint and what not. You just pound it back in place basically.

Take one corner out first then the middle and so on. When you put it back make sure the tabs (plastic) aren't bent. Use both hands, one to push the grill on the other to support the plastic mounting slot from behind. Make sure it is snug across the whole grill or it could fall out while driving.
