Default 2.7t boosting issue. Not making/holding boost.

Just noticed today. Stats on my car are listed in sig below. For some reason, I am not making or holding any boost & the car is not making power. I hear more of an 'air' type sound when I should be boosting. Not like a turbo sound, more like a 'pffffft' like an air hose, but not as loud. I also get a slight surge upon letting off. What is this & how do I fix it? Please ask any additional questions for me to answer & help narrow it down. I am thinking maybe DV's went bad? Please advise what those symptoms would be as well as any other suggestions.

Thanks

You have a major boost leak. Make or buy a boost leak tester or take it somewhere to be checked. Since you are APR tuned and it doesn't appear that you have anykind of upgraded DV's or TBB I am guessing you are losing some boost there, I just replaced my stock Dv's a couple days ago after been chipped for 3 weeks and they were torn to shreds, they didnt have any suction at all.

Update! Check Engine Light came on tonight... Hope that helps diagnose. I am going to AutoZone tomorrow for them to read the codes since I dont have a VagCom. Do DVs throw a code? I am pretty sure the TBB does...

Update #2
Had Autozone read the codes & they came up with 2 that both said "Bad MAF reading" so it made me believe the TBB was the culprit since it results in air that was read leaking out. Sure enough, I get home & take it off & have a nice 2" tear... Going to get a replacement one now. Hopefully thats it.

I hope you replaced with a heavy-duty TBB and not an OEM. You should also replace your diverter valves - they're next to fail with the extra boost.
