Default 2000 A6 2.7t

New member here.

I just purchased a very nice A6 2.7T. The owner was a microsoft geek, knew nothing about cars but took it to the shop with receipts since new. The car is amazing. I do have to say, I was not impressed with the 2.7T power...I was expecting a lot more out of twin turbos. I test drove about 6 of them and they all seemed a bit gutless.... BUT, I purhcased the car for the AWD quattro and how amazing they are inside and out. I do plan on getting an APR stage 1 chip in the very near future. I"m not new to tuning but I have no intention on hot-roding this car outside of the APR stage 1 chip.

Looking foward to learning about these cars as I have always been a chevy guy. Prevously owned a 1991 ZR1 corvette, 91 Z28 with AFR heads, supercharged that pushed out 638 @ the wheels, and I just sold my baby...1993 GMC Typhoon that ran a 12 sec 1/4 mile. Needless to say I"m done with the hot rods and onto new things

Welcome.

We look forward to helping/mocking your futile efforts at maintaining your Audi, against all logical convention and teh urge to chuck it into the ocean...

Also, crying WITH you at the addiction we ALL share.

No. But Audi's, in general, CAN be Diva's, so to speak. Especially once you start wrenching on it, on your own. A tweak here, a tweak there... Pretty soon you're just one minor *cheap* upgrade away from REAL POWER!!! But, based on what you shared of your car-owning history, you're already familiar with teh affliction, and are trying to re-hab yourself out of it <insert-EVILE-laugh-HERE> Good luck with that.

It's an addiction. I wrecked my A8 more than 5 years ago, and I fiend HARD, every day; and will continue to do so, until I can afford to get another, BETTER, NEWER one!!!

Pray for Me, brutha.

It's heavy, AWD, and stock 250 hp so it does not compare to your prior ride. But a stage 1 will get you to ~320hp. Don't forget the heavy duty TBB and DVs, or you blow them out. After the chip, be careful of the tip tranny. Some cannot take the power and they are very expensive to repair.
