My 1998 A6 radio would remain on when I turned off the ignition & would stay on until I removed the key. A great feature.

My 2000 2.7T radio turns off as soon as the ignition is shut off. Is there a workaround at the fusebox or somewhere else?

I just push the power button and turn mine back on.

 

Pushing the power button turns it back on. Mine also turns itself off after about an hour of playing.

 

I'm aware I can just turn it back on (& it stays on for 1 hr so it won't kill the batt.). But my iPhone, which is wired into the system, shuts down, too, losing its place in the Shuffle mode, etc. It's just a pain.

 

My 99 turned off with the ignition and so does my 04 (Audi Concert Sound Bose). From 07 on they stay on until the key is removed. It is always possible to run the power to a direct hot line but is the fire short hazard / time worth the result? If it is that important switch the head out for a new one which is also ipod compatable.
