Hello guys I NEED YOUR HELP.

I just bought my 2000 A6 2.7 , mint condition... has everything except navigation it just has the Audi Simphony Stereo. I NEED to have a navigation system so I purchasedthis RNS-D navigation unit from the UK, it is not the newest widescreen one.. it actually isthe previous model with the square screen... here is the ebaylink:

I have been reading thousands of posts about the installationfor the last 3 days, but the more I read the more confused I get. Some people say it will be a plug and play upgrade that will take 10 minutes to install... some people say I would need a harness/adapter to convert it to plug and play, and then some other people say I would need to move the order of some wires to different pins...can somebody please tell me the correct installationprocedures??

and the last question is about the antenna installation... Is there a way to avoid tearing apart the car in order to run the cable? I have heard that some people just leave the antenna behind the unit and that it still works great... is that true??
