2000 A6 2.8L Hard Starting Problems, and now won't start
I just bought my first Audi ever. Its a 99 A6 Quattro Avant and im trying to put in a new ECT Sensor but as I was trying to get the plastic retaining clip out I broke the clip leaving the two prong ends in, they still have a great grip on the sensor. Any way I can get the two broken parts out so I can replace the senor. Please help
The fuel pump wasn't too bad, but MAKE SURE you don't have a full tank of gas. I had a little more than a half tank and after spilling some on my garage floor, I caught most of the rest that spilled out on it own. Almost 4 gallons. So you need less than a 1/4 tank of gas so you don't spill any.
It was easy to get to though. Just remove the back seat and 4 screws and a retaining ring and it popped right out. Less than 30mins if I had the correct part I needed. Make sure you wear gloves though. Gas still gets every where.

When u get here open the fuel pump case cover, unplug and get the hoses off ur way then u have the fuel pump.
The fuel pump is caged in a spider's webbed plastic + rubber bushings, so grab it tight and twist in anticlockwise direction to come off the clips and stopper.
Replace and reverse procedure.
Hope you succeed.
