Hello All,

I found a whole thread mentioning a petition to get these fixed. However, I'm impatient so I just want to get this done. Please keep in mind I'm generally NOT a DIY'r, but I find the responses wholly unreasonable to fix this (shop says they can't do it without disabling something, Audi dealer wants to replace the whole thing, etc.)

Module Master was mentioned in the thread (page thirty-something of the posts). The following link is what is shown to remove the instrument cluster so you can send it to them for repair:

My questions are:

If I do this, is this going to disable anything?

Will I be able to drive my car while this panel has been removed?

Anyone know if anyone in the Washington, DC area would do this for me, besides the dealer?

Your car should have an immobilizer in it, so it will indeed be immobilized while you have the cluster removed.
