Default 2001 A6 Quattro Transmission sliping help.

OK.. My 2001 A6 runs almost normal when first starting up. As it warm up it starts to slip in and out of gear when going into second gear. In the higher gears the car runs great. If I accelerate slowly from a stop the transmission is smoother and I can drive it for maybe twenty miles or so before it is slipping tooo bad to drive. If I don't drive it slow and smooth from a stop it slams into gear making the car jump and NDR123 lights up.

So far I changed the trans fluid and filter. No change

I also bought a new TCU and did a Throttle Body adaptation, and the Trans-Throttle adaptation. No change.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

I just need the car to run for about six more months because I am deploying over seas. Please help me anyone.

Thanks...

Could you provide details on the fluid and filter change?
Specifics on the car?

Default Fluid change

Ordered a trans service kit from blauparts.com. It came with a new filter and seal and six quarts of fluid. when i changed the fluid only used about two and a half quarts. Im actually getting the level double checked by someone today. Thanks for your help. please stick with me. Thx.

This is the only info I have on the car. Is this what you needed?

You have 4.2
Mileage - unknown- should be read by the scanner!

With your transmission =>
"only used about two and a half quarts" is completely WRONG!
If 2.5q came off with oil pan down - your transmission could be beyound the point of revival!
If 2.5q went in after proper drainage - you have no idea how to fill in the transmission.
Either way - get professional help if there is still room to save that transmission.
Audi or ZF will sell you a rebuilt transmission (ZF 24 HP ) for ~$6500.
Sorry,

Default fluid change

http://www.blauparts.com/audi/audi_f...nsmissionfluid

I used the above instructions. and i found better ones here.
http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articl...servicing.html

I'm going to give the fluid change another go. Do these instructions look OK to you?

the blauparts kit comes with 5 liters and states that customers sometimes buy another liter just to be sure they have enough...what did you do with the other 2.5 liters that came with the kit??

I bought some extra like it said. I just saved what was left over. The heat is what is causing the problem. It cooled down to 80 degrees last night and the car drove fine till it heated up. Does anyone know what the normal temperature of the transmission fluid is during operation? I can monitor this with the VAGCOM can transmission cooling lines fail? This sucks.. No one around here deals with Audi transmissions except for the dealer.
