A word of caution:
I'm pretty sure they do their job right, but when it comes to PAINT - especially on the bumper, don't rush them. When you take the car back to have the bumper and the fender painted, have them keep it inside the shop as long as it's needed for the paint to cure. Don't be too eager to get it the very next day.
Also, are they going to spray the undercarriage or the newly put-in parts with rustproof?
Otherwise, the repair seems to be looking great.

I am not sure there is a need for rust proofing seeing how they are pre-loved parts. The shop I am using is very good and I don't think they would let me take it back before the paint and clear coat is hardened fully but it is not something I thought of until you mentioned it. When I painted my roadster I drove it the next day and the clear was still soft (luckily I didn't go far). Should be getting pics of it going back together up in a few days. Thanks for all the comments guys!

It's nice when you finally get your car back in one piece. Almost there.

http://www.certifit.com/

a6 parts:

bumper cover: $70.75 (unpainted) new
passenger side fender: $49.75 (primed) new
driver side fender: $49.75 (primed) new
radiator support: $48.75 new

I bought a hood and front bumper for my a4. Quality was good. Id give them a 9 out of 10. Best prices I've seen for new body parts

Wow that is really low! Too bad I already got all of the parts I need, but thanks for the link. My car is sleeping in a 19" blanket of snow so no progress tonight, but I did get a new licence plate/rear fog light tub. Can't wait to replace that thing...its been busted since I bought the car!

its funny, every time i tell people about certifit's prices, they don't believe me until they see it. Like i said they sell good replacement parts but they're not always perfect. For example the hood i bought only cost me like $135 brand new. It fit perfectly but the bumper i bought ($45 i think) was not a perfect fit. You couldn't tell from outside appearance though, its just the mounting hole was a bit off. Still I would definitely use them again.

SO as of present I am swapping the headlight guts from the smashed housing to the new one and am trying to get the radiator off...having some trouble getting the trans cooler lines off the radiator though. Anybody have any suggestions?

So after an hour and a half of diggin out of that I got the car into the shop and pulled the bumper off and started on removing the smashed rad support and stripped everything off the new one.

This is how she is sitting until I can figure out the best way to get off the trans cooler.

Also I baked my lights and swapped everything to the non shattered housings.
New (used) non hid, non auto leveling housing

New harness and auto leveler

Got the new harness and auto level motor in but there is no hole for the connector hanging out the front

After drilling a hole, cutting and re-soldering the wires, and some sealant I can use the hid ballast.

The top housing is the old busted one...and it is different than the new one. This makes me sad

So I am epoxying the grp frame back together...hopefully it'll hold.

So over the past few days I got it all together...still need to get the frame pulled a little more but everything lines up pretty well.

Ready to put the lens back on

All back together

Took the reflector out of the drivers side

Got the rad support off!

And put everything back together

Put on the new tails and snow tires

Up next I will be installing the new license plate tub and polishing the lenses for both headlights...maybe the foggies too. In about 2 weeks she'll be all one color again.
