Default 2001 Audi A6 Quattro 2.7 Oil Sensor

Hey guys I am new to this forum and have a question. I own a 2001 Audi A6 Quattro 2.7 and my oil sensor light (yellow) is illuminated. I also noticed that on my dashboard on the far left side is the oil temperature gauge and it does not move (not sure if it should or not). I believe my issue is either of the Oil level thermal sensor or the oil pressure sensor. I have taken this to a mechanic and they could not figure out the issue and would rather not take it to another mechanic before knowing the exact issue. Could someone steer me in the right direction as any help would be appreciated??

My oil temp gauge always runs 225-240o when the vehicle is warm. Closer to 250 when running hard at high speed (~80 mph). I would guess (!) the oil pressure sensor is not working, although you might want to check simple stuff like fuses and connections first.
