Default 2002 A6 4.2 with navi question

so I picked up a 2002 a6 4.2 quaytro loaded with premium/sport/navigation. Still have the window sticker. Car has 74k and is immaculate with all maintenance up to date. Sticker on this was 54,175! anyways I don't have the car yet but where is the navi screen located? It isn't a big screen like my cayenne has, I can tell that for sure. Is it located on the gauge cluster between the speedo and tach? Is it a color screen instead of the red pixel screen? Thanks a ton!

It is a total POS. Buy a Garmin. You also need a set of cd's to load your area-it can't even handle the entire US. Oh well.

Thanks for the heads up. I figured it would be with such a small screen. Is it a color screen?

No its just the same old red writing that drives you crazy.
NO Map, No Color. It reminds me of the Japanese guys in cannonball run. When I first got my car I was messing with it on the way home and it started blinking. Oh boy was that fun! Now I know why all the Nav system are missing the button- The previous owners chuck them out the window.

OEM nav setup is not very good, but you can upgrade to the RNS-E fairly easily. DVD based nav setup which replaces the radio headunit. Bonus is that you get a built-in MP3player via SD cards. LCD screen is good (but no touchscreen controls).

There is a guy selling his setup on audiworld's classifieds, complete with wiring harness so it is plug and play.
