both have around 30K miles on them, both black, 4.2 has tan leather, 2.7 has black leather.
Anyways, Wondering what the differences in performance are as well as other pros/cons. I'm about to purchase one of them I'm pretty sure. Also looking at 2002 S4's, I've done my research but I figured I'd see what others that probably know a lot more about it than me or who have driven both had to say, thanks! i got an 03 2.7t, has 31kmi so far. love it, but want more. now lookin at the s4 4.2. mine is silver with black interior. wanna buy it?

I have a A6 2.7T black with black leather interior - loaded - In my opinion, I would stick with the 2.7T - Don't get me wrong the 4.2 is a nice ride, but you can do alot more with the 2.7T - Upgrade the turbos to K04's - GIAC or APR chip ( I prefer GIAC) - Milltek stainless exhuast and downpipes- Bipipe from APR - Forge DV's (diverter valves) - larger injectors - just tons of upgrades. Can't do as much with the 4.2 - My 2.7T is running around 400 hp - in my opinion, stick with a 2.7T - sweet ride and you can't have more fun and excitement !! Just be sure to run MOBIL 1 synthetic for those turbos !!! Keep um' happy !

depends on what kind of driver you are and do you want a stick or auto. i have a 2001 4.2 and with the mods i have done so far i am more then happy. as for the 2.7 if you were to spend the same exact amount of money on both the 4.2 would have 100 to 150 more hp than the 2.7. DISPLACEMNT!!!
